Happy Birthday My Love

Today is a great day in my life because it is the day my sweet heart was born.  He is very special to me and I sometimes find it hard to put my feelings into words. 

Happy Birthday Marc!  You are so very special to me and I have enjoyed 15 birthdays with you and I hope to enjoy many more.

Here is what the perfect man for me looks like on his birthday.  I apologize that I couldn't get a sharper image but, he was jammin' and the phone was ringin', and life wouldn't just leave me alone with my sweetie.

Is he old?  NO WAY.  He is perfect--he is mine.

Play time

I find that sometimes I actually have to plan for my babies to make a mess.  Here is a picture of Milky playing with a pan of rice.  WHAT?! Yes, there is learning and growing in something as simple as manipulating rice and grains in both mass amounts and singular grains.

Today he decided to count the grains he threw on the ground starting with the number seven.  It went something like this, "seven, eight, nine, ten, ten, ten, nine, nine, ten, nine, eight, nine, TEN!"  The last ten was not a small grain but an entire fist full of rice that went sprinkling all over the kitchen floor.  Just as I had expected---dust pan ready and clean up was easy.  Did I mention he has been playing with the rice for 45mins?  I haven't heard one whine from him.

So, today it is rice, maybe one day I will splurge and "allow" him to wash some plastic dishes in the sink with soap and water.  Maybe this summer, with the big kids.

We have rain!

I hear serious thunder and rain outside tonight.  I think I may even go out to take some shots of the night sky--wait a minute my waterproof camera doesn't process quickly enough.  Bummer...Still...it is so quiet inside and so very loud outside, that I can not fall asleep.

I guess a spooky movie is in order (maybe not).  Take a long hot shower, clean the teeth and plant myself on the living room couch!

A restful night is on it's way!

Can you believe that I have nothing to say?  I am bored to death right now.  So uninspired. I am blogless.

We Appreciate our Teachers

Here are the little gifts I made for the teacher appreciation projects this week.  Cute huh?

We will teach you everything we know.

After cleaning up the yard and mowing, Matthew bravely asked if he could play with one of his water toys outside.  I said no because I thought it was a slip n slide and I just didn't want them running near the street.  Well for that reason, and because I am MEAN.  But, I compromised and let them play in the sprinkler.

I was actually happy that I let them get wet because I think I caught some a special moment.  The quotes are actual conversation from Beef Jerky. This is what brothers are for:

I really liked these last two shots of the boys enjoying the water.  Beef Jerky taught Milky a life long lesson and I think I caught some of it.  There is no way Pink would have taught Milky this. NO WAY.
