A True Story

I was about to run the kids over to church to register them for CCE- for the fall and they were complaining and whining about every little thing.  Beef Jerky had never been to CCE so was anxious about going to church school and Pink was kindly telling him about learning about God, prayers, crafts, and songs.

So, I tell him that he is not going alone that Pink is going too.  Pink turns around and looks at me and says, "But mom, I already did my time."

LOL! Maybe they will feel better if I teach CCE too.

Night and Day

Night

And Day

Angels, Angels Everywhere

There are angels all around,
way up high, down to the ground.
Wearing long, white, flowing dresses,
hair in buns, all full of messes.
Wings fluttering, hands and feet steady,
I think they know, to see them I am ready.
Back and forth, to and fro,
these angels fly high and low.
They bring life, love, and joy to all,
helping us heal, avoiding a fall.
They guide us through the year round,
careful not to make a sound.
Goosebumps trigger when they are near,
but usually they don't appear.
Angels can come in forms of light,
if you see them, no need for fright.
Flashes of spirit, not pain,
think of the feelings you will gain.
There are always spirit guides,
angels to protect you.
When you're sad, lonely, or angry,
just call on them to do.
One doesn't know how dedicated they are,
on those days of loneliness, your angels are not far.

Prayer for Holden

Almighty and eternal God, you are the everlasting health of those who believe in you. Hear us pray for Holden Thomas Underwood for whom we implore the aid of your tender mercy, that being restored to bodily health, he may shine with your light.

Also, bless his parents and family with the courage to be faithful  to you and strong enough to carry the weight of the pain in experiencing and caring for their sick child.  May they never lose sight of their unity with you and with each other through their precious child.

Through Christ our Lord in Heaven.

I think my guardian angel is feeling a little frustrated with me.  I don't always do things the way God says and I make mistakes all of the time.  Sometimes, the message is very clear and I misinterpret it anyway. I hope I get the message right the next time. :o)

For some reason my angel is on my mind today and I think she must feel like this-tired, frustrated, and unappreciated.  Strange thing is I feel the same way.  Just to say thank you I will spend some blog time to thank my lucky stars for my awesome angel. If I could, I would send her chocolates and flowers. ♥

An Ode to All Angels (sayings about angels)

Angels are spirits, but it is not because they are spirits that they are angels. They become angels when they are sent. For the name angel refers to their office, not their nature. You ask the name of this nature, it is spirit; you ask its office, it is that of an Angel, which is a messenger.  -- St. Augustine

Angels are speaking to all of us...some of us are just listening better.
Angels like to do what they want, just for the heaven of it.

Angels walk softly and carry a big presence.

Sometimes your best friend is actually a guardian angel in disguise.

I believe in angels, the kind that heaven sends. I am surrounded by them, I just call them friends.

Touched By An Angel
We, unaccustomed to courage
exiles from delight
live coiled in shells of loneliness
until love leaves its high holy temple
and comes into our sight
to liberate us into life.

Love arrives
and in its train come ecstasies
old memories of pleasure
ancient histories of pain.
Yet if we are bold,
love strikes away the chains of fear
from our souls.

We are weaned from our timidity
In the flush of love's light
we dare be brave
And suddenly we see
that love costs all we are
and will ever be.
Yet it is only love
which sets us free.

Thirty-Something Friday Night

We went to see a cover band and decided to stay late and enjoy the next band.  It was such a great experience for us.  We ate, drank, and (I danced) because the husbear doesn't often dance, and only women dance on bleachers or whatever those seats were called.  And I didn't even care that everyone could see me bust a move. LOL! Because guess what--I have a mean groove thang and rarely use it. hahaha!

We spent the night with some great people that are part of my inner circle of power.  They have been true friends for the better half my life I am talking like 18 years or something like that.  They have been with me through some really great times and some seriously bad times.  I have learned so much from all of them about being a good person and what life is really all about.  They are my hand selected family.

I think the most fun was sitting back and actually knowing every single song (with the exception of one but, doesn't matter because none of my music guru friends knew it either-HA!)  I often feel so disconnected from the current world.  Most of the time I feel as though I don't belong anywhere.  And I have to admit it was nice NOT to feel like a boring old thirty-something wife and mom of three.  I felt like the interesting thirty-something wife and mom of three instead. ♥ But, I took them (the kids) with me--see that one-of-kind, hand-crafted jewelry around my neck?♥

"To love is to be vulnerable. Love is the opening of the heart, the welcoming of your beloved. Loving is not secure,--authentic loving is risky." ( I don't remember the author:oD)

Here I am with the man that makes my heart pound.  Isn't he the dreamiest thing you have ever seen?  He is my closest friend, my love, my motivation, and my other half.  I just love the man more each time I see him.  I am not afraid of loving someone (him) so intensely either.  In this "weakness" I find so much strength and fulfillment.

Some Summer Fun-Vacation Pics!

We spent a week at the beach.  It was a good time.  The kids and the hubby seemed to have the most fun!  I took some pictures but, learned a great deal about temperature variations--like don't turn the thermostat down to 72 at the beach.  I think my camera got really angry with me because it fogged up and I couldn't get very many scenic shots which really frustrated me.  growl.

Okay so here are some cute one that I like. Okay so there are a LOT that I like. Scroll all the way to the bottom or you might actually miss some of the better shots.

The pictures of the grown ups.
The Kids!
Walks on the beach:
What to do during a rainstorm?  Picture Time!

Some shots of down time:
The Scenic shots--wanted more to share but, have lots in my mind.

The man that I love most in the world.  The one that I would do anything for and will love for eternity. My favorite being.
The kids last night--:o)
We had a lot of fun and we enjoyed as much of the time together as we could.  The dinners were all really yummy and the company was really really good.  This time I spent as much time as I could doing instead of shooting.  Figured I needed some experience more than pictures.  My favorite memory. Boogie boarding in the storm waves with my husbear and the in-laws.  I remember thinking how nice it would have been to take pics of the gang in the waves--but my waterproof cam was dead. :o(
